So today I did not much. When I was taking a break for blogs I got a new cpu then we moved up in my room. But turns out I didn’t have that great of Wi-Fi in here so I couldn’t play youtube without it pausing every 5 seconds so we moved the router closer and… “BOOM” I am back baby! Ok anyways sorry for the big break I promise I will have more content Till then PEACE!!

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 20, 2012

Today I went to my friends birthday party.  We first went bowling and we had pizza there.  Then we went back to his house where we had cake, opened presents and played.  When it got dark, we made s’mores outside at the fire pit.  It was a sleepover, so then we got our sleeping bags outs and we stayed up talking real late.  It was a lot of fun.

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s comments:

This was Myles’ first sleepover.  His older brother had a closer circle of friends and they had sleepovers all the time starting in Kindergarten.  This is the first time in his entire 10 years of life that I have spent a night away from him.  I remember when his older brother was away before Myles was born, the house was so empty.  Myles had fun and we went out to dinner.

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 17, 2012

Today it rained all day.  When I got home, I finished my MineCraft legos set – it looks great!

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

How long has Legos been around?  My brothers and I used to play with them when we were kids.  Of course the sets were just basic blocks back then – nothing as elaborate as the sets they have available now.  My brother and I entered a legos building contest once.  He built the American Flag.  I made a mail box – complete with a mail slot.  It was a national contest and  I won 10th place.  My prize was more Legos.

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 14, 2012

Today it rained almost all day long.  I just hung around in my room, watched to movie the Avengers with my Dad and brother and then watched the Packers play football.  They won!

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

When we first moved into our house when his older brother was just a baby, there were lots of kids in the neighborhood that were close to his age.  There was always someone to play with and we often did outings together as families.  Slowly, all the families with young kids moved away.  Myles has never had any kids his age in the neighborhood.  It is sad that we are so sprawled out that play dates mean a trip in the car to get to a friend’s house.

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 13, 2012

Today was Saturday and it rained almost all day long.  I did my chores, got my homework done and finished my MineCraft lego set that I got for my birthday.  It looks really cool!

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

It was kind of nice to have a laid back rainy Saturday that kept us inside to do odds and ends around the house.  We had such a dry summer that it sould have been nice to get some of the rain earlier, but thats Mother Nature for you.  Myles has a list of weekly chores to do which he usually saves to the end of the week.  He will ask for extra chores every once in awhile if he wants to save up for something special.  I firmly believe in having kids do chores around the house.  My boys are definitely not neat freaks and probably a bit on the slob side.

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 10, 2012

Today I started playing Toon Town again by Disney.  I haven’t played it awhile and it was alot of fun to play it again.  We are going to Disney World for vacation in December – I am so excited.

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

We book a vaction to Disney World over Christmas break today.  Myles is very excited to not only go to Disney World, but the fly on an airplane for the first time.  With 9 years difference in age between my two boys, vacations have always been difficult to plan.  Myles is now 10 and it should be a good age to travel to Disney.  We took his older brother when he was 4 years old, but it almost was too young.  He doesn’t remember it, he got tired, and there were many rides he couldn’t go on.  His older brother at 19 is still excited to go.  It should be a good time.

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 9, 2012

Today I got an invite to my friend’s birthday party.  It is at the bowling alley and then a sleepover at his house.  I really want to go.  It will be my first sleepover.

Until Tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

Kids birthday parties – a lot of work – but a lot of fun!  I remember one in particular that was for his older brother when he turned four years old.  We had it at our house and hired a clown for entertainment.  He was in pre-school at the time so we had invited his entire class- both girls and boys.  The kids were down in the basement and when the clown started to come down the stairs, the kids all started screaming and ran up the stairs past the clown.  It was pretty funny!  Things calmed down and the kids did go back downstairs for the show, but I think I will never forget that party!

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 8, 2012

Today was early release from school – we got out at 1pm.  At home, I did my nightly reading requirement to get it over with and then I had the rest of the afternoon to do whatever I wanted.  Our puppy now jumps in and out of the bathtub if we leave the bathroom door open.  She is so silly!

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

Yeah – our puppy Piper is turning out to be such a character.  She has decided to start jumping in and out of the Jacuzzi tub – which is quite a feat as she essentially has to jump from a standstill and the tub is much deeper than the normal bath tubs.  One night I think I will surprise Myles and let her in while he is taking a bath and see if she will jump in when it is full of water!

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 7, 2012

Today I watched the football game, the Packers vs the  Colts with my Dad and my brother.  I was  disappointed that they lost.  After that I did chores while my parents went to the dog park.  My chores were cleaning the bathroom floors and vacuuming the stairs.  My parents wanted me to come to the dog park with them as they always say – it is nice out – you should be outside – but I didn’t want to go.  They were going to the big dog park and  I was worried that Piper our puppy would get picked on by the bigger dogs.  They gave me a choice of either coming with them or staying home with my older brother and doing chores.

Mom’s Comments:

When we give Myles a choice to get him to choose, I always think I make the alternative less desirable, but this time he decided to do the chores.  He washed the tile floors by hand in 3 bathrooms, vacuumed the stairs and cleaned the french doors – both sides.  He did a good job too!  The dog park was fine.  Piper is only 5 months old and about 25 pounds, but she is tough and quick.  So being around the older dogs was no problem at all.  This dog park is large and has open fields, woods and lots of trails.  There are plenty of ways to go to get away from an aggressive dog if need be.  These sunny fall days are now limited – you have to take advantage of them before the snow flies!

A Day in the Life of Myles – October 6, 2012

Today I cleaned my guinea pigs cage.  His name is Benji.  Iit was really smelly, so from now on I am going to clean it twice a week.  I played with him for awhile and then closed my door and let him loose.  He loves running around my room and exploring.  I have to watch him closely as he likes to chew on things.

Until tomorrow – Myles out!

Mom’s Comments:

Poor Benji has felt alittle neglected lately with the addition of Piper, our puppy, to the family.  We had to put Benji’s cage up higher as Piper scares him.  It used to be low on a toy chest, but now it is up high on the bureau.  Myles needs help in getting it down for cleaning and also getting Benji out of the cage for some TLC.  We also keep the door to his room closed so Piper can’t get in and bark at Benji.
