Jellycat’s collection of the Cordy Roy stuffed animals is a favorite line of mine. I not only like the uniqueness of the fabric and the look, but it they sure are cute! Cordy Roys were first introduced about 3-4 years ago and has grown every year. It is now old enough that some styles have been retired.
Cordy Roy Bunny
The Cordy Roys are available in the Medium size which is 15″ tall and retails for $24. Some of the styles are also available in the Small size which is 10″ tall and retails for $14.
They are made of a wide wale cotton corduroy fabric which is very soft to the touch. Corduroy is a fabric that is composed of fibers that are twisted together that lie parallel to one another when woven together. This forms the fabric’s distinct pattern, a “cord.” The Cordy Roys are made of a fabric composed of tufted cords, showing a channel that is bare to the base fabric between the tufts.
The Cordy Roys are dyed to a beautiful array of colors that are not necessarily the color of the particular animal. There are pink cats, blue rhinos, red dogs, orange aardvarks and the list goes on. The colors are neither obnoxiously bright or boring pastels, but nice shades of of color that are unusual and pleasant to look at. It definitely adds to their cuteness factor and uniqueness.
They are stuffed with polyester stuffing and have pellets placed in the bottoms so that they sit up and in their feet/hands so that they hang down. The Cordy Roys are irresistible and you will just want to pick them up and squeeze them. They are stuffed just right so not unpleasantly hard nor are they floppy. Kids for 0 to 99 will love them the same!

The styles that are currently available are: blue Rhino. pink Cat, red Dog, brown Hound, pink Bunny, blue Elephant, red Dino, purple Horse, orange Aardvark, blue Donkey, yellow Lion, pink Pig, purple Mouse, and green Gator. The Gator, Lion, Aardvark, Elephant, Bunny and Cat are also available in the small size.
Pair a board book with certain Cordy Roys and you will have a book friend to read along with. The board books are 6″ x 6″, made of sturdy cardboard, beautifully illustrated and is filled with textures to stimulate your child and to make the story interactive and a lot of fun. The books that are currently available are: Cat and Butterfly, Elephant and Mouse, Bunny and Bee, Croc and Bird – the Lion and Frog book has been retired, but there should still be copies out there available for purchase.
