Challenge Your Preschool Child With Puzzles

Posted by the folks at Cow & Lizard on Jan 20th 2016

Preschool age kids love a challenge and puzzles are a great toy to satisfy this urge.  Children will spend hours putting puzzles together only to take them apart and start all over again.  Start with puzzles that a piece will fit into an identically shaped opening and graduate to larger puzzles with interlocking pieces.  This will require them to think not only about its shape, but also its overall design.  A beatifulul theme that your child is interested in also creates a desire to finish the picture.

Crocodile Creek has a line of wooden knob puzzles that are beautifully designed and easy for small fingers to grasp the pieces and put into the correct spot.  Kids can also count the objects on their pieces as an additional activity.
