Homemade Ice Cream

Here is an easy recipe for homemade ice cream that you can make with your kids.  It is a fun indoor activity and it tastes great!  

HOMEMADE ICE CREAM RECIPE

Ingredients:

• gallon sized plastic storage bag
• pint sized plastic storage bag
• ice cubes
• 6 Tbsp. rock salt
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 Tbsp. sugar
• 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

• put ice cubes in gallon sized plastic bag until full
• add rock salt
• put milk, sugar and vanilla is pint sized plastic bag and seal shut
• place the pint bag inside the gallon bag and seal shut
• shake the bags until the mixture turns into ice cream - generally about 5 minutes
• remove the inner bag and rinse off before opening
• ENJOY!
